Sector Agri-food industry

ERP, plant, labelling and traceability running every shift, with backups and recovery ready.

How we work here

Technology at the service of your operations

For a food or beverage manufacturer—be it a meat processor, a dairy, or a winery—orders cannot be dispatched if the ERP fails, the scales stop communicating, or the label printer loses its data connection. IT isn't just in the office; it's also on the production line, in the cold store, and on the dispatch dock. We manage the infrastructure that connects all these elements and ensure that the traceability of each batch can be reconstructed if something goes wrong.

Common challenges

  • ERP and production software that cannot stop during peak season or on night shifts
  • Weighing, labelling and scanning stations connected by a poorly documented plant network
  • Batch traceability that depends on not losing production data
  • Environments with humidity, cold temperatures, and pressure washing that shorten equipment lifespan
  • Orders, delivery notes and EDI with distribution clients who demand punctuality

Our response

Four areas we address in this sector

ERP Continuity

Right-sized, monitored and backed-up ERP servers, databases and access, either on-premise or in our Sant Miquel de Balenyà datacenter.

Plant Network and Connectivity

Cabling, Wi-Fi and network segmentation for office, production and warehouse areas to ensure weighing, labelling and terminals operate without interruption.

Weighing and Labelling Stations

Support for the PCs, printers and line peripherals that handle labelling, coordinating with the software or scale provider when necessary.

Backups and Recovery

Managed backups for ERP, production and traceability data, with a recovery plan designed to get you manufacturing and dispatching again as soon as possible.

Common Systems

What we support in an agri-food plant

Every plant combines management systems with production line equipment. Our job is to provide the infrastructure that connects and protects them, not to program machinery or PLCs.

  • ERP and production/warehouse management software
  • Weighing PCs, label printers and code scanners
  • Warehouse and dispatch terminals
  • Email, Microsoft 365 and office workstations
  • Servers, NAS and connectivity between buildings or sites

Continuity

Resuming production and dispatch

In the event of a server failure or an attack, the priority is to recover the ERP and production data to resume order processing. We work with you to define what gets recovered first and we test the recovery process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common industry FAQs

How does this differ from your industrial or rural sector pages?

Here, we focus on food and beverage manufacturing: ERP, weighing, labelling and batch traceability. The industrial page covers manufacturing in general, and the rural page deals with farms and other agricultural businesses.

Do you program scales, labellers or PLCs?

No. We support the PCs, network and servers they run on, and we coordinate with the equipment's manufacturer or integrator when the issue is on their side.

Can we host the ERP off-site?

Yes, on a cloud server in our datacenter, after we have reviewed the plant's connectivity and the ERP's requirements for reliable remote operation.

How do you protect traceability data?

With managed backups, kept separate from the production systems, and with a recovery plan that is tested.
