In a hotel or a restaurant, the internet stopped being just for browsing a long time ago: the POS, card terminals, orders, reservations, the PMS, cameras, telephony and guest Wi-Fi all run on the network. We design and manage that entire infrastructure — primary and backup connectivity, firewall, segmented network, professional Wi-Fi, cloud, backups and support — so service keeps running even when a link or a device fails.

Keep taking payments even if one connection fails
POS, card terminals, reservations, delivery, order taking and telephony all depend on the same line: a single fibre is a single point of failure in the middle of service. We design connectivity to reduce the impact of a primary link outage: main line, backup link on a different route, a firewall that switches over automatically and monitoring on both connections. Third-party applications may have dependencies of their own.
Professional Wi-Fi for guests and for staff
A hotel, a resort or a large restaurant needs far more than a consumer router: a coverage survey, managed access points, seamless roaming between them, a separate guest network, bandwidth control and central management that shows what is happening in each area. Sizing is decided after visiting the site, not from a catalogue.
Every system on the network it belongs to
Administration, POS and payments, servers and PMS, video surveillance, connected devices and guests should live on separate segments with their own rules. Segmentation improves security, stops an unknown device reaching internal systems, spreads performance more sensibly and turns troubleshooting into something other than guesswork.
One team when something stops working
When reception can’t take payment, nobody should have to decide whether to call the telco, the IT provider, the Wi-Fi installer or the firewall vendor. We manage the line, firewall, switches, Wi-Fi, servers, cloud, Microsoft 365, workstations, backups, cybersecurity and monitoring according to the contract — one number to call.
Guest Wi-Fi
Your guests can share Wi-Fi. They shouldn’t share your network
A guest’s phone should never sit on the same network as the POS, the PMS server or the back-office computer. The guest network is isolated, with its own bandwidth, client isolation and no visibility of internal systems. Where the installed solution supports it, it can be published with a login page and terms acceptance; legal validation of those terms is the venue’s responsibility.

Large sites
Coverage for hotels, resorts and large properties
Guest floors, corridors, the restaurant, terrace, pool, spa, function rooms, car park, gardens and annexe buildings all behave very differently around the same access point. Design depends on surface area, building materials, furniture, interference and how many people connect at once. Adding more repeaters isn’t a solution: it usually makes things worse.

A hundred connected guests is not ten guests
A network is designed around coverage, capacity and density, not signal alone. A conference, a wedding or a full restaurant concentrates hundreds of devices in a few metres: what matters is how many clients each access point handles, how the spectrum is shared and how much bandwidth actually sits behind it. That calculation happens beforehand, not on the day.

Critical operations
If the POS is down, it stops being an IT problem
Between the table and the payment sit the terminal, the local network, the internet line, the software and the payment gateway. We don’t develop or provide functional support for POS software: we maintain the infrastructure it runs on, prioritise it on the network and coordinate with its vendor when the fault is in the application.

Floor and kitchen
From table to kitchen, every order depends on the network
Floor tablets, terminals, kitchen printers and pass displays form a chain that breaks entirely if Wi-Fi falters at one end of the dining room or out on the terrace. The result is duplicated orders, dishes that never leave the pass and delays the customer does notice. We treat floor and kitchen coverage as production infrastructure, not an extra.

Reservations and front desk
The PMS and booking systems are critical, not office software
Front desk, reservations, billing, distribution channels and email underpin hotel occupancy and restaurant covers. We manage the network, servers, cloud, connectivity, backups and security the PMS or booking software runs on; functional support and software compatibility remain with its vendor or reseller, with whom we coordinate.

Second route
Two fibres aren’t always two different paths
A second line isn’t enough if both leave through the same duct, the same street cabinet or the same exchange: roadworks take them out together. We look for genuine diversity by combining fibre with a radio link or Starlink, and configure failover on the firewall. Full physical independence depends on the carrier and the location, and we say so.

Proactive management
We’d rather spot the outage than get the call from reception
We continuously monitor the links, firewall, switches, access points and servers included in the service. When something fails or degrades an alert arrives, the failing element is identified and diagnosis time drops. No monitoring covers absolutely everything, but it changes how an incident is handled at peak hours.

Video surveillance
Video surveillance integrated with the property’s infrastructure
We install and manage IP video surveillance at entrances, reception, the perimeter, car parks, storerooms, common areas and plant rooms — never in guest rooms, bathrooms or changing rooms. A serious installation isn’t a set of stand-alone cameras: it is cameras, a dedicated network, storage, communications, security and supervision. Camera placement, signage and image handling must comply with applicable regulations, and that validation rests with the property.

Cloud and backup
Fewer servers behind reception, more managed infrastructure
The server under the front desk ages badly: heat, dust, uncontrolled access and no verified backup. We assess what belongs in our datacenter, what stays on site and what works better as a hybrid, based on licensing, peripherals and latency. Alongside it, managed backup of servers, databases, files and Microsoft 365, with off-site copies, agreed retention and restore testing.

Cybersecurity
A network open to the public needs more separation, not less security
You have guest devices you don’t control, supplier equipment, all kinds of connected hardware and staff who change often. The usual risk isn’t sophisticated: phishing emails about a booking or an invoice, reused credentials and ransomware reaching an unsegmented server. We work in layers and keep backups ready to restore; no measure offers absolute protection.

Microsoft 365 and communications
Email, collaboration and calls are part of operations too
Management, administration, reservations, purchasing and venue managers work on email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with accounts created and closed at the pace this sector moves. We manage it with multi-factor authentication, role-based permissions and independent backup. A missed call at reception can be a lost booking, so telephony is part of the same network and priority design.

Technology has to be ready before the doors open
For an opening or a refurbishment we get involved during the works: what line can actually be contracted at that address and with what lead time, where cabling runs, where the rack goes, how many access points are needed and what must be provisioned for POS, cameras and the kitchen. It’s what stops you opening with trailing cables and a temporary router.

Peak season is not the time to discover your network’s limits
A conference, a wedding, a bank holiday or summer on the coast multiplies connected users, transactions and load on the line within hours. Infrastructure is sized for those moments, not for an average Tuesday in February: we review capacity ahead of critical dates and watch the network while they last.

From the independent restaurant to a multi-building resort
You don’t need to run a five-hundred-room resort to need a properly designed network: an independent restaurant benefits from a main line and a backup, a firewall, guest Wi-Fi kept away from the POS, backups and maintenance. And in a complex with several buildings we handle internal fibre, long distances, high density, cameras and redundancy with the same logic.

Common industry FAQs
What happens to the POS if the internet fails?
It depends on how each software package and payment gateway works. What we can deploy is a secondary connection with automatic failover on the firewall, so the network regains access within seconds and the impact of a primary link outage is reduced.
Can we have a second connection that activates automatically?
Yes. You contract a secondary link — another carrier, a radio link or Starlink — and the firewall is configured to switch over on its own. Testing that switchover matters: a second line without configured failover is useless on the day you need it.
Can we separate guest Wi-Fi from the POS network?
Yes, and it’s what we recommend. The guest network is isolated, with its own bandwidth and no access to the POS, the PMS, cameras or back-office equipment.
How is Wi-Fi designed for a hotel?
With a coverage and capacity survey: surface area, number of floors, wall materials, room and common-area layout, and how many simultaneous users are expected. That determines the number of access points, where they go and the cabling required.
Can you cover terraces, pool areas or annexe buildings?
Yes, with outdoor-rated equipment and, depending on distance, internal fibre between buildings or a point-to-point wireless link. Every area is assessed on site before anything is proposed.
Can you manage several restaurants or hotels?
Yes. We apply the same network architecture and the same policies at every venue, with centralised users, security, backups and monitoring, and a single point of contact for the whole group.
Do you work with our POS software or our PMS?
We manage the infrastructure they run on: network, connectivity, servers, cloud, backups and security. Compatibility and functional support for the software itself rest with its vendor or reseller, with whom we coordinate when the fault is in the application.
Can cameras and Wi-Fi stay on separate networks?
Yes, and they should. Cameras sit on their own segment, with no contact with the guest network or back-office equipment, which improves security and stops video consuming everyone else’s bandwidth.
Can you monitor the internet connection and the Wi-Fi?
Yes, for the equipment and lines included in the managed service: links, firewall, switches, access points and servers. We get the alert when something fails or degrades, although no monitoring detects absolutely everything.
Can you back up the property’s data?
Yes, with managed backup of servers, databases, files and Microsoft 365, including off-site copies, agreed retention, daily supervision and restore testing.
Can you prepare all the technology for a new opening?
Yes. We work from the construction phase onwards: contracting lines, cabling and rack, network hardware, firewall, Wi-Fi and guest network, workstations, Microsoft 365, cameras, backups and monitoring, all ready before you open.
Does a second fibre guarantee we’ll never lose connectivity?
No. Two fibres can share a duct, a street cabinet or an exchange and fail together. That’s why we look at the carrier, the route and the equipment, and seek genuine diversity by combining different technologies. No serious provider guarantees absolute availability.
