In short

A virtual private server (VPS) is a virtual machine with its own CPU, memory and disk resources, running on the infrastructure of our data centre in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, province of Barcelona). It has its own operating system and is managed like an independent server.

It is the right choice for companies that want to start with just the resources they need and expand as they grow, without migrating or reinstalling each time. We serve companies in Barcelona, across Catalonia and throughout Spain.

Room to grow

Start with what you need and expand when your business asks for it

VPS capacity follows business decisions. There is no need to oversize the server for where you might be in three years: it is adjusted when the time comes.

New staff

More users on the application or remote desktop: add memory and CPU as they join.

A growing ERP

The database grows over the years; expand the disk without building a new server.

New applications

Deploy an additional VPS from a template for a new internal service or project.

New services

Launching a website, an intranet or a customer portal? The infrastructure grows at the same pace.

Upgrade without reinstalling

Add CPU, RAM and disk without reinstalling the operating system

When your VPS falls short, we increase its resources on the same virtual machine. You keep the operating system, applications, configuration and data: nothing needs to be migrated or reinstalled.

  • More CPU cores for faster processing.
  • More RAM for more users or larger databases.
  • More disk space for data, documents and local copies.
  • Same server, same address, same configuration.

Upgrading without reinstalling does not always mean upgrading without interruption: some changes require a restart or a maintenance window. We tell you in each case what the upgrade involves before we apply it.

Automated control panel

Deploy from our control panel in three steps

VPS provisioning is done through Seintec's automated control panel. The process is simple and does not depend on someone preparing the machine by hand.

1. Select the configuration

CPU, memory and disk for the expected workload, with the option to expand later.

2. Choose a system or application

Pick the operating system or application from the available compatible templates.

3. Start the deployment

The panel creates the server automatically and leaves it ready to work.

If you would rather not handle the deployment, our team does it for you and hands over the configured server.

Managed virtual firewall

Access and traffic control, managed by our team

A VPS exposed to the Internet needs a filter between it and the outside world. The managed virtual firewall, contracted as an optional service, controls who can reach your server and which traffic is allowed; our team maintains its rules.

Traffic filtering

Rules for inbound and outbound traffic based on the services your company actually uses.

Controlled publishing

Only the necessary services are exposed; everything else stays closed to the outside.

Administrative access

Restricted access to management ports to reduce the attack surface.

Rule maintenance

We review and adjust the rules when your applications or needs change.

The managed virtual firewall is an optional add-on: it is included in the proposal when you need it, and our team configures and maintains its rules.

Use cases

What businesses use a VPS for

Some common scenarios where a VPS is a good fit.

Business applications

Management software and internal tools available to the whole team.

ERP and CRM

Solutions compatible with the configuration, with resources that expand as the company grows.

Internal services

Intranet, document management, file sharing or collaboration tools.

Web and professional applications

Web servers, customer portals and applications published on the Internet.

Development and testing

Environments separate from production that are easy to deploy and discard.

Gradual growth

Projects that start with few resources and add capacity in stages.

Management and assistance

24/7 assistance and the level of management you prefer

We provide 24/7 technical assistance and remote hands in our data centre. In a virtual environment, physical interventions are carried out on the infrastructure that supports the VPS: servers, storage and network.

Administering your VPS operating system and applications is a different matter: you can handle it yourself or hand it over to us, depending on the scope you contract.

Platform operation

  • Physical data centre infrastructure supporting the VPS.
  • 24/7 assistance and remote hands on that infrastructure.
  • Data centre network and connectivity.
  • Data kept in Spain.

Add-on services under contract

  • Operating system and application administration.
  • Managed backup with agreed retention.
  • Resource and service monitoring.
  • Migration from your current server or another provider.

A VPS does not in itself include automatic high availability or exclusive physical resources. If your project needs them, we propose the right architecture.

Frequently asked questions about VPS

What is a VPS and which businesses is it suited to?

It is a virtual server with its own resources and independent operating system. It suits companies that want to start with right-sized capacity and expand it as they grow.

Can I add CPU, RAM and disk without reinstalling?

Yes. We expand the resources on the same virtual machine and you keep your system, applications and data.

Does an upgrade require a server restart?

It depends on the change. Some upgrades require a restart or a maintenance window; we tell you before applying them.

How does the automated control panel work?

You select the configuration, choose the operating system or application and the panel deploys the server automatically. We can also do it for you.

Which operating systems and applications can I deploy?

Linux and Windows operating systems, ready to deploy in seconds through compatible templates. We show you the current catalogue when preparing the proposal.

What does the managed virtual firewall include?

Traffic filtering, controlled service publishing, restricted administrative access and rule maintenance by our team. It is an optional add-on service.

What is the difference between a VPS, a dedicated server and a managed cloud service?

A VPS is an expandable virtual machine; a dedicated server is exclusive physical hardware; managed cloud is a complete infrastructure operated by our team together with your applications.

Where is the infrastructure hosted?

In our data centre in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, province of Barcelona), with data kept in Spain.

What administration and support can I contract?

Anything from a self-managed VPS to full system administration, with backup, monitoring and migration as add-on services.
