Sala de servidores del datacenter de Seintec en la provincia de Barcelona

Own Datacenter in Barcelona for enterprise cloud infrastructure

Our technological heart beats in the Osona region, where we host a private datacenter in a unique setting surrounded by nature. Location: Sant Miquel de Balenyà, Osona (Barcelona).

Direct answer

What the Seintec datacenter is

The Seintec datacenter is our own facility in Sant Miquel de Balenyà, in the province of Barcelona, where we host private cloud, servers, backups and continuity platforms. Capacity, service level and operation are defined for each project.

Infrastructure

What lies behind your servers

We operate the installation from start to finish. These are the verified elements of the room where the Seintec cloud platform runs.

Redundant connectivity

10 Gb/s backbone connection via the Xarxa Oberta de Catalunya, with automatic switching to a high-capacity radio link against a remote telecommunications centre.

Protected power supply

Uninterruptible power supply (SAI) systems and generators to maintain the room in the event of a power cut.

High-efficiency climate control

Continuous thermal monitoring of the room, scaled for the actual density of racks in production.

Scalable capacity

Over 150 m² of server room with multi-petabyte capacity, scalable as the platform grows.

24/7 operation

In-house operations centre providing continuous monitoring of availability, capacity, and performance.

Testing laboratory

Staging environment to validate projects and changes before deploying them to production.

Seintec Datacenter

Proprietary infrastructure, not resale

The platform our clients use is the one we design, assemble, and maintain ourselves. This means we can physically intervene on the hardware, adjust the architecture to a specific case, and respond without depending on an external provider's escalation process.

Data residency

Your data remains in Spain, in the province of Barcelona, within the European regulatory framework. You know which building they are located in, who manages them, and whom to call. For many companies with specific contractual or sector-related requirements, this is the deciding factor in whether they can adopt cloud services.

Continuity and recovery

The datacenter also serves as the destination for backups and replicas for clients who maintain infrastructure on their own premises. Backup policies, restoration tests, and disaster recovery plans are executed from here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Seintec datacenter located?
Located in Sant Miquel de Balenyà, Osona, Barcelona. This is our own infrastructure, not space leased from a third party.
Does the data remain in Spain?
Yes. The infrastructure is located in Spanish territory and operates under the European data protection regulatory framework (GDPR).
Is it possible to visit the datacenter?
Yes, via scheduled visit. It is common for companies evaluating the service to want to see the facility and speak with the team operating it.
What happens if there is a power failure or the main fibre connection goes down?
Power is sustained by SAI and generator sets, and connectivity automatically switches to a backup radio link connected to a remote telecommunications centre.
Which services can be hosted in the datacenter?
Private cloud, cloud servers, dedicated servers, housing, backups and replicas for disaster recovery. Each project is sized by capacity, criticality and scope of operation.
Do you publish a Tier classification?
We do not publish a Tier classification on the website. If your project requires a specific certification or facility level, we review it before proposing an architecture so we do not promise something unverifiable.

Next step

Would you like to see the datacenter?
