Chrome releases an update with 52 security fixes
Google announces 52 security fixes for desktop Chrome. Across an enterprise fleet, downloading the update is not enough: the browser must be restarted and the running version checked.

News summary
On 27 October, Google announced Chrome 156.0.8078.73/.74 for Windows and macOS and 156.0.8078.73 for Linux. The bulletin includes 52 security fixes. The published issues include four rated critical: memory corruption in FileSystem, incorrect input validation in FileAPI and Skia, and use-after-free in Layout.
Browsers provide access to corporate email, SaaS applications, banking and customer portals. They are therefore part of endpoint security maintenance, not just the user experience. This publication does not establish that all the vulnerabilities are being exploited or that Spanish businesses are affected.

What to review in your business
Deploy the latest patched stable version available, rather than sticking to the version cited in this article. Verify the status after restarting; a pending download does not constitute a completed installation.
Use a pilot group to test business applications and important extensions. Adapt the rollout to their risk without allowing testing to become an indefinite delay.
