IT support for law firms in Les Franqueses del Vallès

A law firm cannot stop because the case management software will not open or a digital certificate stops working. Seintec coordinates the IT of your law firm in Les Franqueses del Vallès so that files, email and applications are available when they are needed.

Your case files deserve IT support that understands how a law firm works.

  • Our own data centre
  • A single point of contact

Standard support Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. A 24/7 emergency service is available when it is contracted. Phone 936 940 176.

An IT incident affects far more than one computer

These are everyday situations in a law firm and the technical work that usually goes with them. The exact scope is set out in the proposal.

A digital certificate fails when filing a document

Workstation review: technical installation and renewal of the certificate, signature components, browser, card reader and configuration. The private key and PIN stay under the control of their holder.

A case file will not open or cannot be found

Checking permissions, paths, file locks and the state of the repository; if the document was deleted or overwritten, recovery from the available backup according to retention and contracted scope.

Email does not sync, or suspicious messages arrive

Review of the mailbox, access permissions, spam filtering and SPF, DKIM and DMARC records where applicable, together with checks for sender impersonation.

The case management software is slow

Diagnosis of server, database, storage, network and workstation, and coordination with the software vendor when the cause is functional or specific to the product.

An associate needs limited access

An individual identity with permissions restricted to the relevant matter or folder, with a review date and an orderly removal when the collaboration ends.

A lawyer works away from the office

Authorised, encrypted remote access with stronger authentication where implemented, and verification of printing, scanning and signing from the remote environment.

Seintec provides technical support. Conduct of proceedings, filings and deadline control always remain with the legal professional.

IT services designed for a law firm in Les Franqueses del Vallès

These are areas to be assessed and configured according to the firm's needs and the contracted scope, not a list of features automatically included in any fee.

Case files and documents

Permissions by lawyer, team, client or matter; tidy shared repositories; restricted files kept separate; control of shared links; onboarding and offboarding of associates; versioning and traceability where the tool allows it. A partner, an associate and the administrative team do not need to see the same documents. Shared accounts and generic logins are avoided.

Signatures, certificates and court platforms

Technical support for the workstation used with e-Justícia.cat in Catalonia and LexNET where it applies by court, territory or procedure: certificates accepted by each platform, readers, browsers, signature components and AutoFirma when required, always checking the current official requirements. Seintec does not administer the court platforms and cannot guarantee their availability.

Legal and business applications

Review of connectivity, permissions, services, storage, performance and requirements of the applications the firm already uses, with coordination with the vendor for functional incidents. Server-installed applications and SaaS services are handled differently: a SaaS product is not moved into our data centre as if it were a virtual machine.

Cloud, servers and virtual desktop

Local server, managed cloud infrastructure or a hybrid design depending on the environment. For remote desktops we review secure access, stronger authentication where implemented, user isolation, performance and compatibility with printing, scanning and signing, with the relevant licences. Remote desktop is never exposed directly to the internet.

Email and collaboration

Support for email, Outlook and Microsoft 365 where they are part of the environment: shared mailboxes, calendars, permissions, recovery depending on the solution, anti-spam and impersonation prevention, reviewing SPF, DKIM and DMARC where applicable. A fake change of bank details or a malicious attachment are real operational risks, addressed with technical measures and informed staff.

Backup and recovery

We define what is backed up (case files, databases, servers and, if contracted, email and SaaS repositories), how often, with what retention, what encryption, separate credentials and which location. Isolated or immutable copies are proposed where the solution supports them, and restores are tested. RAID, synchronisation or a snapshot alone is not a backup strategy.

Endpoint and access security

Individual identities, multi-factor authentication where supported, least privilege, updates, endpoint protection, firewall and device encryption depending on configuration. We review laptops outside the office, loss or theft, accounts of former staff, third-party access and remote support tools. Advanced measures such as EDR or DLP are assessed where appropriate.

Connectivity and availability

Assessment of the main connection, firewall, VPN or secure remote access and, when contracted, redundant connectivity with failover testing. Capacity and availability monitoring and incident prioritisation as agreed.

Also available within the agreed scope

Digitisation and document workflows

Printers and scanners, PDF and OCR with appropriate permissions, so sensitive documents do not sit in output trays, open folders or unauthorised public converters.

Workstations and hardware renewal

Preparation of laptops and desktops, encryption, inventory and planned replacement so that changing a device does not interrupt a lawyer's work.

Licence management

Review of Windows Server, RDS, Microsoft 365 and firm application licences under their own terms, to match spending to actual users.

Vendor coordination

Acting as the contact with the case management vendor, the telecoms operator and other suppliers, tracking every open incident.

Client confidentiality is part of how we manage your IT

A case file may contain personal, financial or strategic information that only authorised people should see. Protecting the firm therefore starts by defining who can access what, from which devices and with which permissions.

We design the security measures, the backups and the way support is delivered together with you, to reduce unnecessary access and protect your clients' information. Each measure answers a specific need and is documented in the proposal.

  • Permissions by user, team and matter, with restricted files kept apart.
  • Authorised, traceable remote access, limited to what the incident requires.
  • Confidentiality obligations for technical staff with access to the systems.
  • Documentation of processing and of the subprocessors involved where relevant.
  • An agreed procedure for support and for incident notification.

Why law firms work with Seintec

Five reasons a firm can verify from the first conversation, with no promises we cannot support.

Experience supporting more than 30 law firms

Practical knowledge of environments where discretion, document access and availability matter. That experience turns into better questions from the first assessment.

A single point of contact

One person coordinates support, users, servers, connectivity, security and application vendors, with follow-up and named contacts. It does not mean Seintec builds every piece of software or that external dependencies disappear.

Our own data centre

Seintec runs its own data centre in the province of Barcelona, which allows direct management of the contracted cloud infrastructure and traceability of where it is hosted. The location and processing of each third-party service are documented case by case.

A service that fits the environment

Maintain, modernise or combine on-premises, cloud and SaaS systems according to what suits the firm, without forcing replacement of what already works.

Planned continuity

Maintenance, monitoring and recovery defined according to how critical each system is and what has been contracted, with restore testing and objectives agreed in writing.

How the service starts

Four steps from a first conversation to support up and running.

    1. Understand the firm

Users, applications, offices, recurring incidents and the team's real priorities.

    2. Review the current setup

Access rights, backups, devices, licences and dependencies on external suppliers.

    3. Present the proposal

Scope, responsibilities, transition and ways of working, all set out in writing.

    4. Deliver and follow up

Tested changeover and support start-up with monitoring and periodic reviews.

For a migration we agree a working window, take a prior backup and verify applications, permissions, printing and signing, with a defined rollback plan. The aim is to minimise interruption, not to promise a changeover with no downtime at all.

What the service documents

Infrastructure helps to implement technical and organisational measures, but hosting in Spain does not by itself guarantee regulatory compliance. These are the points put in writing.

We do not publish certifications, seals or endorsements we do not hold, and we do not promise zero risk: we propose specific measures and explain their scope.

  • Authorised people and technical access limited to what is necessary.
  • Confidentiality commitments for staff with access.
  • A data processing agreement where Seintec acts as processor.
  • Information on the locations and subprocessors of each solution.
  • An agreed procedure for support and incident notification.
  • Terms for returning, migrating or deleting data when the service ends.

How we serve law firms in Les Franqueses del Vallès

Les Franqueses del Vallès is part of the Vallès Oriental county, in the province of Barcelona. Seintec serves law firms located in the town and its surrounding area, including Granollers, Mollet del Vallès and Vic, combining remote support for day-to-day work with on-site intervention when an incident calls for it. We do not have an office in Les Franqueses del Vallès: what we offer is service coverage, coordinated through a single point of contact.

Onboarding is planned with the firm: first a meeting to understand users, applications and priorities; then a technical review of the environment, remotely or at the office; and finally a proposal with scope and responsibilities. On-site visits are scheduled by appointment; we do not commit to travel times that depend on traffic or the day.

Standard support runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00, and the 24/7 emergency service is available when contracted. Firms in Les Franqueses del Vallès working to deadlines and procedural dates usually value exactly that: knowing who to call and what happens after the call.

Example scenario: a team working between Les Franqueses del Vallès and other locations

When lawyers alternate between Les Franqueses del Vallès, court hearings and remote working, the priority is secure remote access that is compatible with the firm's applications: per-user permissions, stronger authentication where it is implemented, printing and scanning that work, and electronic signature usable from the usual workstation. This is a working example, not a description of any specific firm.

Official resources a law firm uses

Links to the official sources a law firm in Catalonia works with. Seintec has no relationship or partnership with these bodies: they are listed because they affect the workstation we support. Not every town has its own court or bar association; the competent court and bar depend on the relevant judicial district.
