Practice software

Sage, a3 and AHORA ERP, case by case

Before proposing a migration we check the software version, the manufacturer's requirements, the licences, the database, the integrations and the printers. We do not claim universal compatibility.

  • Sage 50, Sage 100 and Sage Despachos.
  • a3ERP and a3ASESOR, from Wolters Kluwer.
  • AHORA ERP and AHORA Freeware.

Seintec is not a partner, reseller or certified distributor of these products. Functional configuration, licences, updates and application support remain with the software manufacturer or supplier, unless expressly contracted.

Scope of service

What is included and what is contracted separately

The service is defined in writing before anything is migrated. The list below is the usual split between what the monthly fee covers and what is added if the firm needs it.

Included in the service

  • Cloud server sized for the firm's project
  • Managed backup, in line with the agreed policy
  • Antivirus/endpoint protection for the covered systems
  • Infrastructure administration within the agreed scope

Contracted separately

  • User support and application support
  • Resource upgrades
  • Site-to-site connectivity, remote access or VPN
  • Advanced firewall and extended monitoring
  • Documented and tested recovery plans

The antivirus protects the covered systems within the contracted scope; it is not a substitute for a full cybersecurity strategy.

Performance and sizing

How we work out the resources your firm needs

There is no one configuration that fits every firm. Resources are calculated from actual use, not from a generic average.

Concurrent users

How many people connect at the same time, not just headcount.

Applications

Program, version and add-ons running on the server.

Database

Engine and current size, including expected growth.

Storage

Space in use, history and expected growth.

We describe high-performance infrastructure and resources sized to actual use — not guaranteed performance.

Security and continuity

Where the data sits and how it is protected

The infrastructure is hosted in Seintec's own data centre in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, Barcelona) and administered from there.

  • Access control to the environments, with users and permissions set by the firm
  • Managed backups, in line with the agreed policy
  • Recovery of systems and data according to the agreed architecture and plans
  • Access from the office, from home or from other sites, according to the contracted architecture

Backups, recovery and testing are part of the scope agreed with each firm: no generic frequencies or recovery times are published.

How the migration is organised

  1. 01

    Inventory

Server, programs, versions, licences, users, printers and integrations.

  2. 02

    Compatibility

The software manufacturer's requirements are reviewed before anything is proposed.

  3. 03

    Proposal

Resources, service scope and separation of responsibilities in writing.

  4. 04

    Initial backup

A full copy of the environment before anything moves.

  5. 05

    Planned migration

The window is agreed with the firm; it depends on the application and the server's state.

  6. 06

    Validation

Users check programs, printers and integrations.

  7. 07

    Go live

The environment enters service and is administered within scope.

We do not promise zero-downtime migrations. The cut-over window depends on the application, the volume of data and the state of the current server.
