Servers

Managed dedicated servers

Hardware reserved for a single company, hosted in our datacenter and operated by our team: system, updates, monitoring and backup within the agreed scope.

The starting point

Some workloads demand reserved resources: large databases, applications licensed per hardware or environments with specific performance requirements. A dedicated server only makes sense if someone administers it continuously.

What we usually find

  • Owned servers out of warranty with parts that are hard to replace.
  • Performance affected by noisy neighbours in shared environments.
  • Software licences tied to hardware characteristics.
  • Updates postponed for lack of internal time.

Which companies it fits

Companies with stable, demanding workloads that want reserved resources without keeping hardware on their premises.

Tell us which workload you need to host and we will propose a dedicated configuration to match.

What the solution includes

  • Reserved hardware

Dedicated resources sized to the workload, hosted in our datacenter.

  • System administration

Operating system, patching and configuration handled by our team.

  • Monitoring

Availability, capacity and performance monitoring with alerts and action.

  • Backup and recovery

Backup with agreed retention and restore testing.

How it is deployed

  1. 1Sizing based on the real workload.
  2. 2Server and network environment preparation.
  3. 3Data and application migration in an agreed window.
  4. 4Performance validation with key users.
  5. 5Ongoing operation with periodic reporting.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from a cloud server?
On a dedicated server the physical resources are not shared; a cloud server offers more elasticity to grow or shrink.
Where is it hosted?
In Seintec's own datacenter in Sant Miquel de Balenyà, Osona, Barcelona province.
Can we administer the server ourselves?
Tasks can be split. It is worth setting out in writing what each party administers to avoid overlaps.
Can we visit the datacenter?
Yes, technical visits can be arranged by appointment.
