Optimised Performance
We size each server with high-performance computing and storage resources. We actively monitor usage to identify bottlenecks and optimise the RDS configuration to streamline printing and the user experience.
Cloud Servers · Remote Desktop
Access your business applications from anywhere with a private, secure, and high-performance Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environment, hosted in our Osona data centre and managed directly by our technical team.
A cloud Terminal Server, built on Microsoft's Remote Desktop Services (RDS) technology, is a server hosted in a data centre that allows multiple users to connect and work simultaneously on a shared remote desktop. It acts as a central access point for company applications and data, removing the need to install software on each individual computer.
Its primary use is to host business management software (ERP, CRM, accounting) that requires a robust, shared server environment. It is the ideal solution for companies with remote teams, multiple sites, or those looking to modernise an old on-premise server, ensuring unified, secure, and performance-optimised access for all employees, wherever they are.
A Tailored Solution
Our managed Remote Desktop service is designed for businesses that need to centralise their applications and securely improve remote access. It is particularly useful in the following scenarios:
Managed Service
We handle all the technical details so your team can simply focus on connecting and working. The service is custom-designed and includes:
Performance and Security
A slow Terminal Server frustrates users and harms productivity. Our approach is built on two key pillars:
We size each server with high-performance computing and storage resources. We actively monitor usage to identify bottlenecks and optimise the RDS configuration to streamline printing and the user experience.
We do not expose your server directly to the internet. We implement the Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) to securely encapsulate all traffic. We also recommend and can integrate multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems to add an extra layer of access protection.
Clarity and Transparency
To ensure the service runs smoothly, it is vital to define who manages which component. At Seintec, we operate on a clear model:
We manage the physical and virtualisation infrastructure in our data centre, the server's operating system, the RDS platform, and connectivity. We are your single point of contact for any service-related incidents.
The customer is responsible for managing their own business applications (ERP, CRM), user administration (onboarding, offboarding, password changes), and their business software licences.
The software vendor, such as Microsoft for Windows Server and RDS, is responsible for providing the base software, security updates, and product support.
Service Scope
To maintain transparency, it's important to clarify that our service focuses on the infrastructure and the RDS platform. The following items fall outside the standard scope and are the responsibility of the customer or their software provider:
Our Difference
Unlike other providers who subcontract or resell third-party services, at Seintec, we control the entire value chain. Your Terminal Server will be hosted in our own 60 m² data centre in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, Barcelona).
We conduct a review of your current environment: server, applications, number of users, resource usage, and connectivity requirements. Understanding the starting point is key to success.
We present a detailed proposal outlining the new cloud server architecture, allocated resources, security configuration (RD Gateway, MFA), and a migration plan.
We create the new environment, migrate your applications and data during agreed-upon service windows to minimise disruption, and conduct tests with key users to validate functionality.
Once validated, we perform the final cutover. From that moment on, your team works on the new platform, and Seintec handles the ongoing management and support of the service.
Your company retains ownership of and the relationship with your business software provider. We provide and manage the infrastructure where it is hosted, and we will collaborate with your provider during the migration if required.
Usually not. We configure a Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway), which securely tunnels the connection via the HTTPS protocol (port 443). This is more secure than exposing the server to the internet and simpler for the end-user, who does not need to set up a VPN.
As part of the project, we advise you on the type (per user or per device) and quantity of RDS CALs you need. We can manage their procurement and installation, but the licences always remain the property of your company.
The standard configuration allows for the redirection of each user's local printers, enabling them to print directly. For environments with more complex or centralised printing requirements, we analyse and implement the most reliable solution.
Performance is guaranteed through correct initial sizing, using dedicated resources (CPU, RAM) and high-speed storage. Unlike physical hardware that becomes obsolete, our cloud platform allows us to monitor and scale resources flexibly if your business needs change.
Yes. A Terminal Server (RDS) is based on a session-sharing model, where multiple users share the resources of a single server operating system. VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) provides each user with a complete, isolated desktop virtual machine. RDS is typically more cost-effective and efficient for running a common set of business applications.
