  • Data held in our own Spanish data centre
  • Simplified GDPR compliance
  • Full operational control
  • No international data transfers

What is a sovereign cloud and why is it key for your business?

A sovereign cloud is a cloud computing environment where data and applications are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of a specific country—in this case, Spain. It’s not just about data being physically hosted within the country, but also ensuring that the infrastructure is operated and managed by a local entity, free from extraterritorial laws that could compel access to your information.

For Spanish businesses, adopting a sovereign cloud with Seintec means having the certainty that all your information, including backups, resides in our Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Barcelona) data centre. This simplifies GDPR compliance, eliminates the risks associated with international data transfers, and gives you direct control over who accesses and manages your systems, with a single point of contact and our own in-house technical team.

Our Difference

Total control from our own data centre in Osona

Unlike resellers or major hyperscalers, Seintec operates from our own data centre located in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, Barcelona). We don't rely on third parties to manage the physical infrastructure. Our 60 m² server room is the heart of our cloud services.

This gives us absolute control over physical security, the network, and the hardware. When you sign up for our sovereign cloud, you know exactly where your data is and who manages it: our in-house technical team, with over 15 years of experience and no middlemen. This proximity and direct control is the ultimate guarantee of sovereignty.

Implementation

How we migrate your infrastructure to a sovereign environment

Our process focuses on understanding your needs to design a safe and efficient transition, minimising any impact on your business.

1. Initial Analysis

We conduct a free initial review of your current infrastructure to understand your computing, storage, network, and security requirements.

2. Audit and Design

If required, we carry out an in-depth audit (the cost of which is deducted from the project total) to design a bespoke sovereign cloud solution.

3. Migration Plan

We create a detailed migration plan, establishing work windows and procedures to ensure data integrity.

4. Execution and Validation

Our technical team carries out the migration and performs the necessary checks with your team to confirm everything is working correctly.

5. Go-Live

Once validated, the service goes live with the support and management levels agreed in the contract.

Service Limitations

What's not included in the sovereign cloud service

To maintain transparency, it's important to clarify the service's limitations. Our proposal will always detail the exact scope.

  • Management of the client's operating systems, databases, or applications, unless a system administration service is explicitly contracted.
  • Direct support for the client's application end-users (we provide support to the company's IT managers).
  • The procurement or management of third-party software licences (e.g., operating systems, ERP, CRM).
  • Official certifications such as ISO 27001 or the National Security Framework (ENS).
  • Legal consultancy services regarding GDPR; we provide the technological foundation to help you achieve compliance.
