Managed Infrastructure for Self-Hosted Odoo

Delegate the server management for your Odoo Community or Enterprise. We handle the system, backups, monitoring, and security, so your Odoo partner can focus on the functional aspects.

  • For Self-Hosted Odoo
  • Optimised Linux Environment
  • Delegated Administration
  • Our Own Osona-based Datacentre

What does managed infrastructure for Odoo involve?

This service involves providing and managing the optimised server environment where your self-hosted Odoo Community or Enterprise instance runs. Instead of your company or Odoo partner having to manage the hardware, operating system, and backups, Seintec takes care of the entire infrastructure layer.

We ensure that the Linux server, PostgreSQL database, and all associated components are running correctly, kept up-to-date, and monitored. This allows your Odoo implementer to focus exclusively on module development, functional configuration, and user support, without worrying about the underlying technology.

Customer Profile

For companies that want to delegate their Odoo's foundations

This service is designed for companies that use, or plan to implement, the self-hosted version of Odoo (Community or Enterprise) and wish to outsource the management of their server infrastructure to a specialist.

  • Companies working with an Odoo partner for the functional side, where the partner does not offer managed infrastructure services.
  • Organisations that prefer not to invest in purchasing and maintaining their own physical servers.
  • Businesses seeking a high-performance, secure, and monitored environment for their ERP.
  • Businesses that want a single technical point of contact for the infrastructure, who collaborates seamlessly with their Odoo partner.

Defining Responsibilities

A Clear Ecosystem: Each Specialist in Their Own Field

To ensure the project's success, it's crucial that each party understands their responsibilities. We focus on the infrastructure so your team and your partner can focus on the application.

Seintec: The Infrastructure

We handle the server, operating system, database, backups, connectivity, and security of the environment. We are your point of contact for any incident related to the platform.

The Client: Ownership and Use

The client owns the Odoo licence (if using Enterprise) and their data, and is responsible for the functional use of the ERP. They define business requirements and coordinate between the different suppliers.

The Odoo Partner: The Application

The client's chosen partner is responsible for the functional implementation, custom module development, application data migration, training, and user support regarding Odoo's operation.

We are not an Odoo partner and we do not carry out development or functional consultancy work. Our specialism is the infrastructure that supports it.

What Makes Us Different

In-House Team and Osona Datacentre: Total Control, No Middlemen

Unlike other providers who subcontract services or resell third-party capacity, at Seintec, we control the key elements of your infrastructure. Your Odoo will be hosted in our own datacentre in Sant Miquel de Balenyà (Osona, Barcelona), a 60 m² facility managed entirely by us.

All support and administration are handled by our senior technical team, with over 15 years of experience. This means you have a single point of contact who understands your setup, faster incident resolution, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly where your data is and who is managing it.

Scope of Service

What is not included in the service

To maintain transparency and focus on our specialism, it's important to clarify which tasks fall outside the scope of our infrastructure management:

  • Hosting for the Odoo Online (SaaS) version, as this is a product managed entirely by Odoo S.A.
  • Development, customisation, or debugging of Odoo modules.
  • Functional support for users on how to use Odoo.
  • Resolving programming errors or application-level bugs.
  • Purchasing or managing Odoo Enterprise licences.
  • Application-level data migration (importing customers, products, invoices, etc.).

Frequently Asked Questions about Odoo Infrastructure

Do you host the Odoo Online (SaaS) version?

No. Our service is designed exclusively for the self-hosted (on-premises) versions of Odoo, both Community and Enterprise, which require their own server infrastructure.

Are you an official Odoo partner?

No, Seintec is not an Odoo partner. We are specialists in IT infrastructure. We collaborate closely with the functional partner you choose, contributing our expertise in servers, networks, and security.

My Odoo is running slow. Can you fix it?

Our responsibility is to investigate and resolve any performance issues originating from the infrastructure: server, CPU usage, memory, disk, or network. If the slowness is due to inefficient code or queries, it will need to be analysed by your Odoo partner.

Which versions of Odoo and PostgreSQL do you install?

We deploy the infrastructure using stable, secure, and recommended versions of the operating system and PostgreSQL that are suitable for the specific Odoo version your partner will be installing.

Does the service include the Odoo Enterprise licence?

No, the purchase and renewal of Odoo Enterprise licences are the direct responsibility of the client. We provide and manage the infrastructure where the software is hosted.

Will my Odoo partner be able to access the server?

Yes. We provide the necessary secure access for your technical team or Odoo partner to install, update, and manage the application on the infrastructure we administer.
